This year we are again being hosted by Basswood Country Resort and RV Park. Tend camping, full RV hookups, cabins, private shower facilities, fishing, anything you need out of your visit can be found at this 73 acre award-winning resort. The facility is located between the Harley-Davidson plant and Platte City, Missouri, just north of downtown KC. If you want to tour the plant then make sure you do it the first day of the rally. Tours of the plant are only available Monday - Friday. See important tour information on the H-D website. Kansas City (Platte City) Weather
The weather in this part of the country can do almost anything. You should be prepared for warmer weather, but cooler weather, rain and sometimes severe storms is possible. Climatological information for the area can be found here. The trip planner says we should expect highs near 83 degrees with overnight lows of 61. The dew point should be 64 degrees so expect moisture on the grass when you wake up. Skies should me mostly sunny with a warm 8 mph wind from the south. There will be a 19% chance of precipitation.
