I was wondering if folks were still planning on going to the ABATE rally at Lake Perry on Labor Day weekend. If so questions I have are like are we all chipping in and one person bringing beer? Food, everybody on there own or go in together and cook there? I guess first we need to get an idea who is going. I assume Sam ,you're still going since you haven't missed since dawn of time, right. Anyway we can do whatever anybody wants to do. I just thought we might want to kick it around a little first. Oh and I have permission to post this off topic post. Didn't want folks to think I was trying to hijack the place.

Not sure if I'm going yet. Trying to talk Gary into it but he's not too keen on paying $25 to get in

Erica, you will need to call Sam and ask him Dave's question as he is having computer problems at the present.
Also, you still coming to Bonneyville?

Erica, tell him 9 bands in 3 days, dj in the beer tent. Bike games and a bike show are also included. As you know it is truly an experience that is hard to put into words. You can sell it to him.

Hello Boys & Girls;
I haven't done much rallying this year. What is the plan if any? Are you camping out? Getting together as a group? Who and how many are going? I hate to spend $25.00 on a day trip.

I'm still going. I've been waiting to hear from others. I'm not home right now (on vacation) so I'll post more in a few days.

Al and I are planning to go. Sam is too. We all plan to get there for the landrush on Fri. We have a spot that we usually camp at that is nice. Planning to take weedeaters to get rid of all the vine stuff that grows in our spot. This is not a day trip. It is a 4 day thing. I will probally pack up me kitchen so we can do some cooking.

Sounds good. I had E-mailed Sam direct but hadn't heard back from him. I read where he is having computer troubles. I won't be able to get there until I get off work, about 4:30. The two questions I have are do we all want to go in on food and beer or do we want to go our way? We could do a combo too, like cook dinner there and other meals are on your own. Either way is fine with me as my wife has agreed to bring supplies (food etc) in a car or I can go home as I live only 15 minutes away. Let me know what the consensus is so I can start gathering supplies if that's what we want.

Kyle, I sent you a Google map of the camp site to your e-mail. The little loop at the end is the spot. I hope this makes sense. As I said in an earlier post I can't get there till 4:30 or so. I will try to eat there at night so I don't drive after drinking. My wife said she could bring stuff up in a car (cooler, stove, beer, whatever) when she gets off work. She won't camp there. Her idea of camping is that the hotel room isn't a suite. I am flexile about food and beer etc. We could go in together and not duplicate effort or everyone take care of themselves and do their own thing. What do you think?

as usual Rene' will come in the tahoe. so she'll bring all our camping gear. to include propane stove coffeepot pans etc. do they have fire rings, or do I just bring a grill too?
will have a big cooler or even 2 if needed.

Al and I are planning to get to the rally for the landrush at noon on Fri. We are going to bring our trailer so plan to pack up my mobil kitchen. I will have everything including the kitchen sink. Also going at that time is Vern, Al's cousin, Sam, Steve and Sam's new honey LA. ASteve and I are planning to do an S and S rib dinner one night and brats the next. We are both doing salads. Would suggest if anyone wants to get into the feed bring your own meat and a side dish if possible. Al offered to do bisquits and gravy for breakfast one morning. We always eat pancakes at the American Leagon up the road on Sun.I think we will probally be on our own with beer.

I'm currently planning on smoking a pork butt for pulled pork sandwiches on Friday night. Should be plenty for anyone hungary. Sat is in the air till I make up my mind. Kyle, I don't think they provide fire rings but one could be devised by gathering rocks. Might be nice to have a fire but I can do without it as well ( more indecision) By the way Charles from Fayetteville is planning on coming as well. It should be a good time.

Sounds like we are going to have a big group. If anyone has a weed eater and can bring it do so if you will be there noon on Fri. We are going to weed eat the area before anyone sets up. The whole area is covered in a strange vine that looks like poison ivy but isn't. It sounds like we have meat for Fri. night. I think if anyone wants to cookout on Sat. just bring your own meat and we will fire up the grills. We will have some salads to go with the meat. How many are comming? We have 4 and Sam has 4 plus Dave,Kyle and Renee. Who am I forgetting?
